The Book Fair 2018

The Wairakei Primary School book fair, run by Scholastic, is hosted by our school librarian Penny.

The Book Fair gives students an opportunity to find some cool books to read. It happens annually and has been going on for seven years. Penny has recommended a few books, like Flit the fantail, A wonderland treasury and the 104 storey treehouse. About 350 students visit the book fair each year! Around 300 books are sold. 30% of the books sold go to our library, to buy new books and pay for maintenance.

Breaking news, Wairakei Primary School sold $4,100 worth of books raising over $1,000 for the school library.
