I moved to New Zealand in 2009 from Australia having completed a Bachelor of Health Science and a Degree in Musculoskeletal Therapy. I began working in Taupo and within a short time I had met Marty. Whom in 2013, became my husband.
I have completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching and Learning – Primary, through the University of Canterbury.
The past 5 years have seen me based out at Rangitaiki School. I love the community involvement that comes with being in a rural school. In 2017 I decided to progress my career in teaching and Wairakei Primary School was a standout choice. I am so thrilled to have been given the opportunity to teach in Room 9.
My husband and two children, Oscar (3) and Pippa (1) have been very accommodating and supportive of me taking on this new role.
I love cooking and looking after my family’s well-being, I am very creative - love art! I am passionate about building the best learning environment for my students. Where they feel safe and comfortable to excel in their learning.
