Due to the extremely hot weather here in Taupo, our teachers surprised us with a massive water slide. We had the time of our lives slip and sliding our way down the water slide together our Middle and Senior School cooled off. The slide was set up on the hill by the maze and the water truck was supplied by the wonderful Harris family.
Student Voice: It would be fun if we had this every week. Reid
It was really fun, we had to be careful going down because we sometime almost banged into each other. Chloe
What was our learning? Taking turns, looking after each other, facing our fears
While the water was gushing down the tarpaulins, we lined up behind our teachers and parents. It was really hard to wait our turn, we were all hot and wanting to run down the slide. We need to think about being careful by looking out for little kids and trying hard not to bowl each other over. Sometimes it looked like a bowling alley.
Perfect, slippery, we need to put soap on to our bellies so we can go faster, dive as soon as the soap goes on to the slip n slide. Fergus and Dion
It looked really fun, but couldn’t go on it because I had broke my arm. Millie
It was great, but you had to be careful going down because of the little kids. Nikau
