I have been teaching at Wairakei Primary School since 2018. I started teaching in 2001 and I have taught from New Entrants to Year 7’s. I began my teaching career in Christchurch (my home town) and later moved to Auckland for 6 years. Then I met my husband, who lived in Whakamaru at the time, and I decided to move down. I worked at Lichfield, Mangakino and Whakamaru schools before moving to Wairakei Primary School.
I enjoy being in theatre shows, dancing, riding my bike with my family and going on caravan holidays. I come from a family of four. My parents now live in Kinloch and my older brother dwells in Wellington. I currently live in Taupo with my husband and daughter, who also attends Wairakei Primary School. I also love to collect smiley faces! It makes my classroom happy and inviting.
