Hockey
Hockey fees must be paid by March 28, 2024 for your child to be able to play. Register your child for hockey by completing the registration at this link:
Fundamental Skills Programme
Years 1-2. Not available until Term 4 and parents register their own child through Taupo Hockey Website
Mini Competition
Years 3-4, $75. Competition runs from Friday, May 9, 2025 through to August 8, 2025. Games are played between 3.30-4.30p.m.
Maxi Competition
Years 5-6, $95. Competition runs from Friday, May 9, 2025 through to August 22, 2025. Games are played between 4.45-8p.m.As well as registration fees, parents also need to buy shin pads, a mouth guard and a hockey stick for their child. Please go to Taupo Hockey website and read Mini and Maxi Handbooks under Junior Hockey tab for all the information you will need.
Netball
Netball fees must be paid by March 28, 2025 for your child to be able to play.

Competition is from Saturday, May 10 - August 9, 2025 with games played between 8.30a.m. & 12.30p.m.

Basketball
To register your child to play for a Wairakei team in the Lake Taupō Basketball Year 3-6 competition register at:
Make sure to register your child to a Wairakei team on the link. Year 3-4 students will play in a 3-a-side competition and Year 5-6 students will play 5-a-side. Registrations close on 2 May, 2025. Registration lists will be sent to Mr Morehu on 5 May and he will organise teams and make contact with coaches and managers. The competition starts on 3 June and finishes in September.
The number of teams the school can enter will be dependent on the number of coaches and managers that volunteer. Priority of play will go to students who register earlier or have a parent that can coach or manage a team. If your child misses out on a team, Mr Morehu will notify you and Lake Taupō Basketball will refund your fees.
