Wairakei Primary School Cross Country 2025

All students are expected to participate unless a signed note is provided by whānau to the classroom teacher.

What to wear

Students must wear closed-toe shoes suitable for running. Crocs, slides, and sandals are not permitted. Please be aware shoes may get wet and muddy. A change of clothes to run in is also recommended. 

Helpers needed

The Health and Physical Education team are looking for marshals to help on the day. If you’re available, please complete the volunteer form.

Event location

The Cross Country will take place on the farm at the bottom of the hill by the school. Access is via a farm gate off State Highway 1, with parking available in a designated area. 

Parents are invited  to walk down the path through the gully which also leads onto the farm.

Please dress for the weather, gumboots and warm clothing are strongly recommended.

Toilets

A portable toilet is available on the farm.

• Year 2 – Boys 9:40am  | Girls 10:00am;
• Year 3 – Boys 10:20am | Girls 10:40am;
• Year 4 – Boys 10:50am | Girls 11:00am;
• Year 5 – Boys 11:10am | Girls 11:20am;
• Year 6 – Boys 11:30am | Girls 11:40am;
