Karapiti, 2025 Term Four
Making a Mark
Students will continue exploring the concept of Making a Mark through The Arts curriculum.
Students will have the opportunity to choose from a range of art forms, developing their skills and creativity while expressing their ideas.
The inquiry will conclude with an end-of-year trip on the Floating Classroom, aboard the Cruise Cat, to visit the Ngātoroirangi rock carvings. Along the way, students will learn about local stories and history, connecting their art with the marks left by others.
Health and Physical Education
In preparation for athletics, students will be focused on developing movement skills, as well as getting involved in the Zespri Young and Healthy Virtual Adventure. This encourages students to be active by counting daily steps on pedometers and making positive lifestyle choices, such as drinking plenty of water and eating fruit and vegetables.

A leavers’ event will be held in the school hall to celebrate memories and acknowledge achievements for Year 6 students to attend. This is a special event on our school calendar.
