Each team has been working on the Making a Mark concept since the beginning of Term 3. The work has culminated in the final presentations being shared with family and friends. From what I have seen so far, it looks amazing. On the table for the Quiz Night, there were flax baskets with flowers in them. It was easy to see the work that had gone into the final products.
Believe It or Not Quiz Night
The Believe it or Not Quiz night was a huge success. The tables were full. The winners took control of the night early on. The silent auction ramped up toward the end of the night. The quick-fire raffles and the fancy raffle tickets sold very well. Chris Te Whare was a superb host of the night, running the questions and providing commentary for all the tables. No one was immune.
A special thanks to:
- Teagan Hill and Tayla Nicholson for their idea and organisation on the night
- PTA for supplying the food
- The teachers and PTA members who set up the event and ran the kitchen and the bar.
No Uniform Day
On behalf of Kids Can, I would like to thank the school community for the support for our Kids Can No Uniform day. We raised $400 on the day.
Yummy Stickers
The 2025 collection of Yummy Fruit stickers and labels has been super successful. The school has earned $798 worth of new sports equipment. Items have been ordered and will be ready for students to enjoy at the start of next year. Thank you to all the school whānau and community for making this possible.
