June 30       Hune 30

Week 11 Term 2, 2026

Jumping June

Jumping June was a fantastic success last Friday. Despite making a few quick adjustments due to unpredictable weather, every team had a wonderful time in the hall, wrapping up the day with a lively performance of the Cha Cha Shuffle.

It was wonderful to see so many parents there supporting the highly engaged students. Aside from a single, constructive critique from Room 13 students—who noted that the big green skipping rope was turning just a bit too fast—the focus and determination on the children's faces were amazing to witness. We even spotted a few determined tongues poking out during the trickier skips.

Curriculum Information Evening
A big thank you to Hannah Simpson for hosting two highly successful meetings focused on the Curriculum Refresh and new reporting standards during the recent school disco. It was a great way to make the most of parents’ time rather than having everyone wait in their cars.
The feedback was extremely positive, with many parents asking how they can best support learning at home. The Ministry of Education (MOE) offers a range of resources on its Parent Portal, which is the main hub for practical strategies to support learning.
If you missed out, we will be hosting a follow-up session in Week 1 of Term 3 on Thursday, 23 July at 8.30 a.m. in Room 12. This is a great opportunity to hear more about our reporting framework moving forward.

Lunchonline Price Update (Kindo)
Please note that there will be a 10% price increase for all Lunchonline orders starting in Term 3. Funds raised through these orders directly support the school PTA and help provide ongoing projects and resources around the school.

Warm Up Wednesday

The final session for the term will be held on Wednesday, July 1, from 8.30a.m.. Remember to bring your reusable cup and $2 for a delicious hot chocolate. A massive thank you to Bin Inn for generously sponsoring the hot chocolate ingredients.

Celebrating Student Achievements

Swimming Success
Congratulations to Zoey and Phoebe, who competed at the XLR8 swimming meet in Taupō on May 30 and 31. Both girls swam exceptionally well and achieved personal bests in all of their races.

World Cup Selection
Best of luck to James following his selection to compete at World Cup level in Guangzhou. We wish you all the very best for your upcoming races and look forward to hearing all about it when you return.

PTA School Disco
The disco featured incredible costumes and amazing energy. The student helpers did a fantastic job keeping everything organised, and DJ Bone kept everyone on their feet with fantastic music choices. Thank you to everyone who helped make it such a fun night.

Ngā mihi,
Paula

There are spaces available for guitar lessons, which are held at school on a Monday morning. Students will need their own guitar. The cost is $10 per lesson. These are done in small groups. We need 4 students to make a group.
