Do you know anything about Pet Day?

If you haven’t been before, you wouldn't know that there are any activities like bouncy castles, farm animals that people bring in, raffles, judged animals, candy floss and food and slushy drink trucks for you to enjoy.

Pet Day is about bringing families and your favourite pets like lambs, pigs, calves as well as cats, dogs, and mice. Unfortunately we can not have birds because of the bird flu.

The judge will ask you these questions:

  • What’s your animal's name and breed?

  • When was it born?

  • What does it eat?

  • How do you care for it?

  • Can you name some of their body parts?

  • How did you train it?

  • What diseases or parasites might it get?

The school does lots of cool activities like raffles with delicious food. You get to make your own cakes or pikelets or biscuits. You can come watch dogs, cats, horses, lambs, and calves plus the odd piglet or kid walk in an arena in the middle of the field. Even sausage sizzles and fizzy drinks, jolly jars, bouncy castles and face painting.

Students should be involved in Pet Day because so please help us by fundraising to make a community all together. Pet day will be held at Wairakei Primary School 2 Kauri Drive Wairakei Village, Taupo, Stalls will be found around the whole school.

There are brand new activities this year at Pet Day like
