What you will bring
- A Tūturu (Full Practising Certificate). Pūmau or Tōmua certificate holders are warmly invited to apply for the Classroom Teacher, Year 4–6 role instead.
- Structured literacy training and sound knowledge of the curriculum, shared readily with colleagues.
- Assessment that drives teaching — multiple sources of evidence, used to adapt.
- One particular skill or strength you can bring to the wider school.
- Te reo and tikanga Māori in everyday practice. Also valued: BSLA structured literacy, Oxford Maths or Maths No Problem.
The details
- Year 4–6, reporting to the Team Leader.
- Salary under the Primary Teachers' Collective Agreement 2026–2028, step set by qualifications and experience.
- Appointment is subject to a current practising certificate and a satisfactory safety check, including a New Zealand Police vet, under the Children's Act 2014.
- School visits are welcome on school days — book a time through the school office.
